Here are two opportunities for parents in Bellevue to give feedback on important local issues.
From the Bellevue School District:
Elementary and Middle School Start Time Survey
“The Bellevue School District is reviewing its transportation system in response to:
- Increased ridership
- Bellevue-area traffic and amount of time spent riding the bus
- Alignment of afterschool activities for students and professional development opportunities for staff
One of our goals is to have all middle schools start and end at approximately the same time each day. The district also wants all schools to start no earlier than 8 a.m. We are currently exploring middle schools starting at either 8 a.m. or 9 a.m. If we decide to change the start times for Chinook, Highland, Odle, Tillicum, and Tyee, at least four elementary schools would be impacted by either scenario.”
Survey closes March 24 at 4 p.m. Click here to take the survey.
New Elementary Science Curriculum Survey
“The Bellevue School District is in the process of adopting new curriculum for elementary science. The adoption committee will consider feedback from the community, students and teachers to make a decision about the instructional materials by April 2017. The process will culminate in the recommendation of science instructional materials that will be implemented beginning in the fall of 2017.”
